Toffees show plenty of fight
Everton face a battle to stay in the Premier League after their 10-point deduction and manager Sean Dyche will hope his team can build on their 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest here.
And while the Toffees have won just one of their seven league games at Goodison this term, there are factors that make them worth chancing against the Magpies.
Eddie Howe’s side have won their last six home games but their form on the road has been poor and their only away league victory has come against bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United.
They won 8-0 on that occasion but there has been precious little else to cheer, including a 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth the last time they hit the road.
Add to that the injuries that threaten to keep England goalkeeper Nick Pope and former Goodison favourite Anthony Gordon out of action in this one and Everton can be supported in the draw-no-bet market to take three precious points.

Goals on the cards at Goodison
Newcastle at least have striker Alexander Isak among their number and they will have fond memories of the 4-1 victory they posted on their most recent visit to Goodison Park in April.
Their concern is perhaps at the other end of the pitch, where they have conceded at least twice in four of their previous five away games, even with Pope in goal.
It is notable that their victory in April was the sixth time in their last nine meetings that both teams have scored and there have been more than two goals in the game, so it is worth betting that will occur again this week.
Everton vs Newcastle tip 2: Both teams to score & over 2.5 goals @ 11/10 with Sky Bet
Young may fall foul of officials
The first element to consider in a bet-builder selection is to back veteran Everton defender Ashley Young to be shown a card.
That has happened in six games this season and it is notable that the years may have caught up with him in big games as he was carded in matches against Arsenal and Manchester United, as well as sent off for two bookings in the Merseyside derby.
He could struggle again but, at the other end, we can expect midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure to have a shot on target.
Doucoure provides a vital link with Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top and he has already had 13 efforts on target this season, with four of them going in, so expect the Malian to try his luck.
It is also worth noting that Newcastle are not prolific when it comes to forcing corners. Howe’s side average just 3.67 per away game this season, so take the Toffees, who have posted 5.43 per match at Goodison, to take the greater number of corners as the final element of this 14/1 bet builder.
Everton vs Newcastle tip 3: Bet builder: Ashley Young to be booked, Abdoulaye Doucoure to have a shot on target and Everton to have most corners @ 14/1 with Sky Bet
